HOW TO GIVE A SUBTLE NOD TO SPOOKY SEASON

Written October 1, 2024

Every year when spooky season rolls around I always enjoy walking around my neighborhood and seeing all of the fun decorations that people put up for Halloween. Although I enjoy those who go above and beyond with holiday spirit, I personally try to incorporate seasonal decor in a more subtle way inside of my home. Here's a list of the items I'm eyeing for Halloween this year.

1. Black Ceramic Skull Candle Holder

Pairing just one of these black ceramic skull candle holders on any shelf or entry way table is the perfect way to add just a little bit of spookiness as you enter into your home.

2. Spooky Cocktail Glasses

Switch out the glassware you typically have on your bar cart for these spooky old fashioned glasses just for the month of October.

3. Ceramic Hand-Shaped Tray

Another small addition you can make to any coffee table or shelf decor.

4. Black Tapered Candle Holders

Switch out some of your dining room utinsels and candle holders for anything in a black color scheme. Ever thought about doing a monochrome table setting in all black for that Halloween party you're hosting this year?

5. Black Tapered Candles

Pair these black tapered candles with the black candle holders! Use them on your dining table or on an entry way table for some subtle spooky vibes.

6. Handcrafted Terracotta White Pumpkins

Use these on any table surface to bring some pumpkin decor into your home without having neon orange all over the house (or without them going old on you) - it's the official food of the season!

7. Black and Orange Checkered Candles

These fun candles bring the black and orange color combo into your home in a subtle, but fun way.

8. Wire Candle Lantern

A witch's cauldron or just a black wire candle lantern? I would get two of these in varying sizes and place them outside by my front door!

Lastly - Flower Arrangements can say a thousand words. Find a black vase and opt for dried florals and possibly even try adding in some wooden branches. Anything that's no longer living.
