We cannot guarantee an exact time frame for hand-painted maps as it depends on the complexity of your map and the volume of orders that we have in our backlog at the time of your purchase. However, we typically estimate 4-6 weeks for hand-painted maps and 1-4 days for prints and other products to ship. To re-iterate, this is an estimate and is subject to change.
Custom hand-painted maps refer to the map collection that you can find in our online store. These are maps that Aleisha has designed in the past and can be made within roughly 4-6 weeks of your order being placed. They are considered "custom" products because you can select the map's color scheme and add personalizations.
Custom map commissions refer to projects that Aleisha takes on in a limited capacity for cities and locations that she does not have designs for yet. These maps typically take longer than 6 weeks to be made as they require time for the new design to be made and for additional conversations between Aleisha and the client throughout the creative process.
All of the hand-painted maps in our online store include up to two personalized highlights. If you’re interested in additional personalizations please send us an email. We can sometimes do this at an additional cost, but cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so.
None of our products come framed and we do not sell frames at this time. However, please refer to my "Guide To Framing" here to see my recommendation for frame sizes and brands.
Our hand-painted map products are all made-to-order. They are hand-painted, hand-labeled, and heat embossed and require multiple weeks to be made.
Prints are copies of Aleisha’s originally hand-illustrated designs that are printed on 100 lb. fine art paper and ready to ship within 1-4 days.
We do our best to avoid delays, but due to the hand-painted and custom nature of some of our products delays can happen. In the event of a delay for a hand-painted map that was intended as a gift, we offer the option to purchase this card that can be sent or given to the recipient prior to the map arriving.

Our hand-painted maps are final sale, but we understand that "ship happens" and products can arrive damaged. When this occurs, we can offer refunds. You can learn more about our return policy here.

Due to the volume of orders we receive we cannot do that at this time. If you’re interested in getting your map at a later date, we recommend placing your order closer to the time it will get delivered. For hand-painted map products we recommend placing your order 6-8 weeks prior to the date you would like the map by. Prints typically ship within 1-4 days.
