This historic artists’ retreat is tucked into hillside in Carmel-By-The-Sea just a few blocks from the ocean. The walls are covered in historic and unique artwork — whether it’s a painting, a beautifully patterned textile, or an old wooden sculpture saved from a shipwreck in Monterey Bay, you cannot leave here without feeling inspired. They serve complimentary sangria and fresh baked Ghiradelli Chocolate Chip cookies each night, which you can grab from the lobby and bring back to your room or enjoy in their beautiful courtyard. They have have a terrace that overlooks the ocean where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner, or simply a glass of wine from the bar. They also have a great outdoor pool which you can lounge by for hours if you aren’t feeling like getting sandy at Carmel Beach. The hotel staff here were amazing and made us feel at home right away, I would strongly recommend staying here if you plan on visiting the enchanting town that is Carmel-By-The-Sea.
