If you're spending some time in San Diego, whether it's for a short weekend, a week, a month, or longer - you HAVE to make your way up to the North County. The North County in San Diego includes coastal cities such as Del Mar, Solana Beach, Encinitas, Carlsbad, and Oceanside. In Encinitas, you'll find this cute little area called Cardiff-By-The-Sea and if you pull off here there's a great restaurant and bar for brunch, lunch or dinner. It's called The Waverly and it's tucked into the corner of a small building alongside a handful of other great spots. After you stop in for a bite, head down to Swami's Beach to catch some sunshine or watch the waves crash along the sandy beach.
