Scribe Winery is the most perfect spot for a Saturday or Sunday afternoon city-getaway. Located just 45 minutes North of San Francisco, you'll find their beautiful property where you'll drive down a palm tree-lined driveway as you approach their historic Spanish hacienda. Once on the property, you have one of two options - either a casual picnic on the hill overlooking their vineyard or a more formal setting at a table in the hacienda. Scribe's mission was to create a winery that could be a one-stop-shop for their members, rather than a spot that's one of multiple on a full-day winery tour. When you reserve a picnic spot, you'll arrive and be given picnic blankets, lawn chairs and an incredible picnic basket filled with an assortment of locally grown and freshly made food. If you opt for the Hacienda reservation, you'll be seated at a table on the outer deck or the patio of the Spanish house and you'll be served a more formal menu of food items.

NEED TO KNOWS

Just know that you currently need to be a member in order to make a reservation - which means you need to join their wine club! I joined and opted for the lowest number of bottles (4) per quarter and it's always a wonderful mail surprise when the wines come!

Personal note:

Their Rosé is my favorite! If you love Chardonnay or Pinot Noirs, those are also their specialty. This is my favorite spot to bring friends when they visit from out of town. It's stunning and so relaxing at the same time. It's the perfect way to experience Napa Valley and it's not too far of a drive either!
