San Francisco's Sunset neighborhood is home to all things surf -- you'll find a low-key, laid back personality to this particular part of San Francisco and it's the perfect spot to spend a night watching the sunset at Ocean Beach or a weekend afternoon shopping and sipping on craft beers. 

As a sister to two brother's who have turned into avid California surfers, I'm always scoping out cool surf shops to tell them about. A few years back, I was exploring the Outer Sunset neighborhood in San Francisco and stumbled upon Mollusk. With it's very unique and craftsmanship aesthetic, this place is fun to just BE in. Everything inside is constructed out of wood, including a little submarine figure in the front window that's part of the store's overall display. They sell surfboard (duh!), fins, wet suits, men and women's swim suits, hats, t shirts, artwork, posters, magazines, and more.
