On my last trip to South Lake Tahoe, California, I finally got to stop into Bert's Cafe for breakfast. It's a family-owned and run breakfast joint that's been around for many years. While I ate walnut waffles and one of their infamous sprinkled hot chocolates, one of the owners actually stopped by to chat with us. This is your go-to spot if you love places that feel like old school diners. Every dish we tried was delicious and I'll definitely be back! They don't take reservations and there's usually a wait, but we were able to get in pretty quickly and it was definitely worth it.
