AutoCamp Yosemite
Feeling outdoorsy, but not quite ready to "rough it"? If yes, then I have the perfect glamp-site location for you! Just a short 3 hour drive away from the San Francisco Bay Area you'll find yourself in the breathtaking Yosemite Valley. My favorite place to stay while visiting this National Park is at AutoCamp. A camp ground filled with vintage Airstreams and glamping tents. WARNING: be sure to plan a few months in advance because these Airstream campers and glamping tents fill up quickly!

Each "campsite" comes with it's own bonfire pit, mini fridge, and... *drumroll please* every bed has a heated blanket (trust me, it can get cold at night even though you're in California so this is an amazing perk!). In the main lobby, you can enjoy a fresh cup of coffee for free each morning and purchase food from their kitchen for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner. Feel free to bring your own food, but no need to worry if you left the food behind. |
Most nights there's live music outside by the common bonfire pit and you can enjoy it from outside, in the lobby or on the roof deck above the front reception area. If it's nice out during the day, they also have a swimming pool where you can enjoy a nice swim before or after a hike!

GETTING TO THE PARKAutoCamp is about a 40 minute drive away from the El Portal entrance to Yosemite. This entrance is one of my favorites because you get to drive through a boulder arch as you enter the park and almost immediately you'll get to see views of Yosemite's infamous El Capitan and Half Dome landmarks. Using the map below for reference, AutoCamp would be located between Mariposa and Midpines. |
