In addition to specializing in watercolor cartography artwork, Aleisha is an artist of many talents. She's a diversified creative who loves to explore new mediums. Contrary to what you may typically see on her social media profiles, she thoroughly enjoys drawing with charcoal, painting with acrylic and oil paints, and playing around with digital design. Aleisha has experience painting small and large-scale murals, art installations, and custom fine artwork for individuals, personal homes and commercial buildings.

01. ART INSTALLATIONS - LARGE SCALE MINNEAPOLIS MAP PAINTING
Aleisha designed and painted a 3-panel neighborhood map painting of Minneapolis, Minnesota that spans a total of 5 by 7 feet. It was a commission piece for the MN46 apartment building located in Minnehaha Falls and it currently hangs on a wall in the residents' common space for all to enjoy. For this project, Aleisha worked closely with the apartment buildings interior design team to create a design that included their desired scope of Minneapolis and that matched their building's color scheme. Once the digital mock up was finalized, she began painting the panels with acrylic paint. She drew from techniques she uses in her watercolor map artwork to make the life-sized painting come to life with raised, textured borders and her signature calligraphy. |

02. FINE ART PAINTINGS - 'DRIVE COLLECTION'
Once upon a time, Aleisha needed to fill some walls in her apartment with artwork. She had been living in San Francisco for a year at the time and felt inspired by the geographical patterns throughout the city. From the ways the roads intertwine to the way the cargo ports protrude into the bay, Aleisha felt inspired to paint something that looks abstract in a way, yet held so much meaning. That's what spurred her DRIVE Collection - a series of abstract acrylic paintings that subtly symbolize the unique road patterns and terrain in different cities.

03. CUSTOM CARTOGRAPHY ARTWORKAleisha's art business originally transpired from the idea that she could create cartography artwork of anywhere for anyone. And that's still true to this day. Aleisha can take the the smallest city or the world's most famous city and turn it into a piece of artwork that's visually pleasing and one that holds so much meaning.
Due to the increase of interest in Aleisha's custom cartography artwork, she has created a new system where she only accepts a few commissions a year.
